Jenna Ortega is a budding style star that captured the spotlight at this year’s MET Gala. Held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ortega stunned the crowd with her bold and sophisticated look comprised of a custom Thom Browne ensemble. The stunning all-black ensemble was meticulously layered and was adored with delicate ruffles and rhinestones, adding an edgy, yet glamorous flair.
The dress was a corseted style that flowed into a rounded, high-low removable skirt. The skirt featured an external black, textured fabric and a white, silky interior, which created a beautiful contrast. Pearl and gold chain patterns on the edges of the cropped long-sleeved jacket and the ruffles and hemlines on the skirt perfectly completed the look. To accessorize this outfit, Ortega opted for Marli New York Cleo diamond thin rings and full diamond drop earrings.
The shoes, however, were the instant standout. Ortega made the bold fashion statement by sporting Thom Browne’s Fall 2022 towering oxford shoes, featuring black and white colorblocking uppers and classic wingtip details. The black platform soles connected to the sky-high heels allowed Ortega to stand out in the crowd. To finish off the ensemble, Jenna wore black Thom Browne sheer knee-high stockings and white fingerless gloves that was topped of with a black and white camellia-topped neck ribbon in homage to Lagerfeld’s signature style that suited the event’s theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”.
